Upgrade Chips & Chipsets

AbleComm sells chips and chipsets to upgrade your Panasonic phone system. We can usually ship the same day you place your order -- much faster than Panasonic's own national parts center -- and our prices are lower on the most popular items.

All of our chips are obtained from Panasonic's official chip distributor. Beware of low-priced "counterfeit" chips that don't meet Panasonic standards.

BAD NEWS: Panasonic's official chip distributor closed in early 2007. We have a few chips and chipsets in stock, but probably will not be able to get any more. We will keep a listing of the unavailable chips for information only, and with the hope that they may become available in the future.

"Ground" shipping costs $12. Faster shipping is available for an additional charge.

Chipsets DO NOT include full documentation for new features. We sell manuals.

Each new version includes everything available in previous versions, except for the CTI feature in the KX-TD1232-1.

Our products are designed for use in the United States, and we can't guarantee that they meet the technical or legal requirements for any country other than the United States.

Chips can be exchanged if defective or if a wrong item is shipped; but not returned for refund.
You can determine the version of a cabinet by looking for a number in a circle on the bottom, near the serial number. HOWEVER, with a digital system, it is more reliable to use program # 116. Call us at 1 888 ABLE 999 and tell us what you see on the phone's display screen, and we'll tell you the version you have.

On a KX-TD816 or 1232, it's easier/faster/safer to change chips if you remove all of the cords and cables from the control unit, put it flat on a table, and remove the entire front panel -- not just the little chip door.
