Phone Phallacies

More baloney has been said and written about telecommunications, than any subject other than sex. Don't believe any of the following:

(1)  Your phone system can provide "hunting" from a busy phone line to an available line.
(2)  Phone systems with lots of features are less reliable than systems with just a few features.
(3)  Phone systems with lots of features cost a lot more than systems with just a few features.
(4)  Digital cordless phones and digital phone systems require digital phone lines from the phone company.
(5)  The lowest price is the best price.
(6)  Phone systems lose their programming in a power failure.
(7)  People hate to leave messages with voicemail systems.
(8)  It's easy to tell if a phone line is "bugged."
(9)  You have to be licensed to get a telephone installer's test handset ("buttset").
(10)  Your words come out of the other phone faster when you make a call on a high speed ISDN line.
(11)  2.4GHz cordless phones have longer range than 900MHz cordless phones.
(12)  If you have voicemail system in your office or home, it can answer calls when all of your lines are busy.
(13)  If your phone system isn't installed by a certified installer, your warranty is void.
(14) Cable TV companies know a lot about phone systems.
(15) VoIP companies know a lot about phone systems.
