The Panasonic KX-TDA50G control unit is an enhanced version of the KX-TDAW50, with more features. It can also be be thought of as an enhanced version of the discontinued KX-TAW848, and is a good replacement for a KX-TD816 or KX-TD1232.
It can be used with both analog and digital "proprietary" phones (KX-T7000, 7100, 7200, 7300,
7400, 7600, DT300 and 7700 series and KX-NT136, KX-NT265) as well as analog single-line phones and telecom devices such as fax machines and credit card terminals.
The system supports up to four IP phones, or eight with a SIP expansion card. Caller ID, previously an extra-cost option, is now built-in, for the first four lines.
The system also supports SIP trunking with Broadvox and CBeyond for reduced connection and long-distance costs.
For larger operations, the TDA50G can be networked with other Panasonic systems at branch locations.
The DXDP (Digital Extra Device Port) allows you to double the number of phones by plugging one phone into the DXDP port
on another phone, without additional jacks or wiring from the control unit. You can connect digital telephones, analog telephones, cordless telephones
or any other single line device. In addition, DXDP can be programmed with the same or a different extension number. Both telephones and its DXDP can operate at the same time allowing you to send a fax or an email while you are on the telephone.
It can support up to eight "cell stations" for up to 28 wireless phones. The cell stations can be spread apart to cover a large
area.
The KX-TDA50G can use an optional internal IP Gateway Card for VOIP communications. By using the optional VOIP connection you can connect to a
Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN).
The system software and your custom programming and information
are stored permanently on a removable Panasonic SD (Secure Digital) memory card.
In case of a major problem, all the important information in your system can be
easily loaded from the SD card back into the system, or into a replacement
system. In addition, the SD card makes it simple to upgrade your system with new
features.
It is is initially configured with:
