Your home or business can have added safety and convenience with our new color video door intercom systems. You can see and speak to visitors before opening the door.

The door unit connects easily to a Panasonic KX-T, KX-TA, KX-TAW, KX-TD, KX-TDA, or KX-TDE phone system that uses a central control uinit ("KSU"). You decide which phones ring, and can have different phones ringing at different parts of the day.

Door rings can be answered at any phone in the system -- even a cordless phone. The color video image can be seen on one television, or distributed to multiple TVs, or even to PC monitors and a video recorder. With a TV, you can connect directly to a "line" input -- there is no need for any special hardware.

Wiring is super simple. You'll need two wire pairs from the phone equipment to the door, and one pair from the phone equipment to the TV or a video distribution amplifier. Ordinary Cat 5e wire is fine for up to 150 feet. You don't need to install coaxial cable, but coax can be used for distances of up to 1,000 feet.

The door speaker is attractive and compact, and fits into a standard single-gang electrical box or an optional surface-mount housing. You can choose from five finishes to complement the exterior architecture. When the button is pressed, a visitor hears an audio confirmation signal.

The camera has a wide 70-degree viewing angle with tilt and swivel adjustments, and provides 420 lines of resolution. It can withstand temperatures ranging from minus 30 degrees to plus 150 degrees F. The circuitry is encapsulated to resist moisture.
