"Multi-cell" cordless phones
for use with Panasonic phone systems

These phones are intended for Panasonic KX-TAW, KX-TDA and KX-TDE series phone systems.
They won't work alone, or with other phone systems. They really won't. We're not kidding. We tried it.
They really won't work with other systems. Please believe us. Thanks.
Panasonic's KX-TDA and KX-TAW phone systems provide a new level of convenience and coverage with wireless phones, through the use of strategically placed multiple cell stations (transceiver/antenna
modules).
As you move throughout the coverage area, the system provides seamless communication by automatically handing off the call from cell station to cell station.
Multi-cell wireless technology is a highly efficient solution that keeps people connected whether they are on the factory floor, in the warehouse, in a showroom, office, shopping mall, retail store, auto dealership, large home or just about anywhere.
- Up to 128 handsets can be registered for use
with the KX-TDA/E100 or 200, and up to 28 can be registered with the
KX-TDA50G or KX-TAW848;
but they can't all be used at the same time.
- Portable handsets can be registered on more
than one system, such as business and home, allowing you to take your phone
with you and use it in more than one location.
- Handsets have both headset jacks and speakerphones for handsfree conversations.
- When Auto Answer is activated, calls from another system telephone will be automatically answered, allowing you to have an intercom conversation without pressing any button.
- The illuminated displays phones provide useful information regarding the call, line status, flexible key number and more. It's readable even in complete darkness.
- The handy Navigator Key lets you easily control the handset volume and ringer level and other functions. This simplifies access to the call directory to make calls using the names or numbers stored in the directory.
- Speed dial numbers are searched in alphanumeric order.
- The small footprint does not take up precious desk space, and each handset can also be wall-mounted.
- Each "antenna" uses just one wire pair, and
does not require local power in most cases.
- Cell stations must be positioned at least 10 feet apart to avoid interference with each other. In most sinstallations, cell stations are placed approx 75 feet from each other, creating overlapping cell coverage. One cell station provides a coverage radius of about 150 feet.
- An innovative emulator module provides power
to the antenna to aid you in positioning it for best wireless coverage,
before you install wiring.
- Typical range is over 500 feet outdoors. Your mileage may
vary.
- Older models work on
2.4GHz. Current models work on 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 frequencies. Handsets and cell stations must be
designed to work together, and must be compatible with the phone system's control unit ("KSU").
