The door speaker has an illuminated pushbutton that can generate a pleasant chime at one or two speakers inside. To speak to a visitor at the door, just tap the talk bar, and release to listen. There is an automatic shut-off 15 seconds after the last time the talk bar is touched.

Wiring is very simple -- you need just one wire pair from the door to the inside speaker, plus another wire pair from the inside speaker to the power transformer (included). Maximum wire distance is 245' with 22AWG, or 590' with 18AWG. You may be able to re-use the wire that now goes to your door bell button. For distances over 100 feet, we recommend shielded wire. Separate volume controls are provided for chime and voice.
